TEQ is an extended mastering and mix bus EQ with M/S function. TEQ is a dual-band EQ based on the classic Baxandall circuit from the 1950s, loved by engineers for its smooth and natural sound.

We have developed a product with not just ordinary features, but with functions that exceed what usually is expected from this type of EQ, and the result is several more choices when it comes to frequencies, a higher resolution on the cut/boost controls and an M/S function. The 10 frequencies on each band extend from 30Hz to 720Hz and 1kHz to 24kHz and both bands can be switched between shelf or peak.
The cut/boost range starts with 0.25dB steps up to 1dB, then continues with 0.5dB steps up to 4dB and for more cut or boost the Ex-switch extend the range up to +/-8dB.
TEQ has a low Q (0.5) for gentle tone shaping and musical adjustments.
With the HPF active it’s easy to remove unwanted low-end rumble, mud and bass build-up from the mix, while the LPF removes harshness and smooths the high-end. These filters both have 6 frequencies each.
To make TEQ even more useful it has a built-in M/S function to effortlessly adjust the mid and side channel separately.
TEQ also has a cue function to monitor left/right channel separately or mid/side channel if M/S function is active.
All audio switches have gold contacts for best possible connection.
High and low band frequency selection are made by relays that combine capacitors for the selected frequency.

Low band frequencies
30/45/60/90/120/180/240/360/480/720Hz
Switch for shelf or peak mode, Q=0.5

Low band cut/boost
+/- 0.25dB/0.5dB/0.75dB/1dB/1.5dB/2dB/2.5dB/3dB/3.5dB/4dB

Ex
The Ex switch extends the maximum cut/boost range to +/-8dB (please note that the steps are not exactly x2 of the panel marks)

High band frequencies
1kHz/1.5kHz/2kHz/3kHz/4kHz/6kHz/8kHz/12kHz/16kHz/24kHz
Switch for shelf or peak mode, Q=0.5

High band cut/boost
+/- 0.25dB/0.5dB/0.75dB/1dB/1.5dB/2dB/2.5dB/3dB/3.5dB/4dB

HPF
20Hz/25Hz/30Hz/40Hz/50Hz/60Hz, 12dB/octave, Q=0.5

The HPF uses one control for both channels.

LPF
12kHz/14kHz/16kHz/18kHz/22kHz/27kHz, 12dB/octave, Q=0.7
The LPF uses one control for both channels.

In/Out and M-S
Illuminated switches for EQ in/out and M-S function in/out.
The EQ In switch has a light glow in bypass if M-S is not activated.

Cue switch
Allow the user to cue left or right channel or mid and side channel if M-S function is active. Two green LED’s show if the cue switch is activated.

I’ve needed the exact piece for years! I thought The Transceiver I was perfect until I got the Transceiver 2!
The Blend knob is incredibly useful when using stomp box compressors and distortion pedals.

The M/S Station unlocks the full potential of my vintage TAB W395a EQs for mastering. Being able to use these in mid/side and blended in to taste is fantastic! As if that wasn’t enough, the elliptical EQ section sounds great, and the stereo width control is handy if adjustments are needed after the previous M/S processing
